1. Who はある人物についてたずねるときに使う単語です。その人物のアイデンティテイを Who により知ることができます。"Who?" is a question word that asks about someone. We use it to find out someone's identity.
Who wrote the Bible? Many different people did.
Who was Joseph? He was Mary's husband.
2. Who は主語や目的語をたずねるときにも使えます。聖書は神がイエスをこの世にお遣わしになったと書いています。次の文 章をみてみましょう。 "Who?" can ask for the subject or the object. The Bible tells us that God sent Jesus into this world.
Who sent Jesus into this world? God did.

「マタイ伝」１章１節から１７節にはイエスの家系のことが書かれ ています。イエスはユダヤ人の父と呼ばれるアブラハムや、ユダヤの国王 となったダビデの子孫にあたります。アブラハムからイエスまでの４０世 代にわたり、家系が書かれています。 Matthew 1:1-17 is a record of Jesus? family. Jesus was a descendant of Abraham, the father of the Jewish people, and David, who was an important Jewish king. There are 40 generations listed between Abraham and Jesus.

This was how the birth of Jesus Christ took place. His mother Mary was engaged to Joseph, but before they were married, she found out that she was going to have a baby by the Holy Spirit. イエス・キリストの誕生の次第は次のようであった。母マリアはヨセフと婚 約していたが、二人が一緒になる前に、聖霊によって身ごもっていること が明らかになった。

The name "Messiah" (Hebrew language) has the same meaning
as "Christ" (Greek language), "The Annointed One."
