RE : AR-WACC TRIENNIAL ASSEMBLY AND PRE-ASSEMBLY SEMINAR

25-30 October 1999, Hong Kong

　

　

　

The Asia Region--World Association for Christian Communication shall have its Triennial General Assembly and Seminar on 25-30 October 1999 in Hong Kong. The Pre-Assembly Seminar shall be two days (25 and 26), to be followed by the General Assembly (28-30). An optional tour is scheduled for the 27th. The theme for this year is “Communication for Reconciliation in the Asian Context.” The venue shall be at :

　

　

Who are eligible to attend

All corporate and personal members of WACC are eligible to attend. However, as a matter of policy, members who have not paid their annual membership fees for the last two years shall NOT be eligible to attend either the Seminar or the General Assembly. Thus, it is important that you update your membership fees up to 1998 if you wish to attend these two important events, and to do this BEFORE the dates mentioned. We can allow your 1999 dues to be deducted from your travel but dues for previous years must be settled before coming.

　

The First or Second Delegate of the member-organization, as registered with WACC London, must come to the Assembly/Seminar; if neither of the two can come, they can designate an alternate in writing and submit it along with the Registration Form. Only ONE REPRESENTATIVE per organization shall be allowed.

　

　

　

Subsidy and Travel Requirements

Corporate members shall be entitled to 60% airfare subsidy or US$ 400 whichever is lower with free meals and accommodations during the course of the event. Personal members shall not be entitled to travel subsidy but they shall be given board and lodging. Incidental expenses like travel tax, domestic expenses in your own country, lodging and board before and after the Assembly/Seminar dates, or personal expenses during the course of the events (for example, laundry, telephone and fax charges, mini-bar, etc.), or cost of optional tour scheduled on the 27th of October shall be the responsibility of the corporate and personal member-delegate.

　

You are advised to also take the most direct and economical airfare. Please check with your travel agent about visa requirements to Hong Kong, if any. If you need an official letter of invitation for your visa application, please let us know. Please bring official receipts issued by your travel agency for your travel reimbursement.
