For Lutheran Hour Ministry centers in Asia, there is one purpose and focus: Bringing Christ into the hearts and lives of people who do not know Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord.

The staff in each of our thirteen ministry centers create, produce and offer Christian programming to all ages in the various national languages, using every kind of media opportunity: radio, TV, print media, telephone, Internet, drama, face to face meetings and even more.

This Web site is designed to introduce you to our way of offering peace, hope and joy in a troubled world.

Where there is pain and suffering, we offer comfort. Where there is fear and death, we offer peace and life eternal. Where there is guilt and shame, through our programs, Jesus Christ Himself offers forgiveness and reconciliation.

Welcome to the Luthasia Website. It is a treasure house of opportunity to all you need for now and hereafter. Please click on one of the countries at the top of this page to begin your experience.

Indian ministry reaching people through tsunami relief and beyond
MYANMAR: In the country of Myanmar (commonly known as Burma), the Lutheran Hour Ministries (LHM) ministry center doesn’t enjoy as many of the freedoms that other LHM ministry centers have around the world.
Nevertheless, this ministry continues to reach many people in this mostly rural country every month through radio, Bible correspondence courses (BCC), and programs like “Equipping the Saints” (ETS).

Disaster relief in Thailand helps bring survivors to Christ
By Gerald Sonnenberg
PHANG NGA PROVINCE, Thailand: Lutheran Hour Ministries (LHM) staff and volunteers continue to work with the survivors of the Dec. 26 tsunami in countries where LHM has ministry centers.
Recently, five of those survivors were baptized because of their connection with LHM disaster relief efforts led by LHM-Thailand (Journey Into Light) director Monta “Boom” Ekwanit, as well as the efforts of the Rev. Suchart Choojit of the Sahathai Lutheran Church in the southern Phang Nga Province.
